SO I have a HP right, and have 300watt PSU with+12v 19A ATX or something i think. My question is if my PSU will be able to handle an XFX8600GT video card. I dont know how to upgrade PSU so I dont wanan mess with that. I have the 8500GT right now becuse at the time it was all i can afford. I wana get a better card soon but I dont wanan brake my computer either.(TOOK me a whiel to get it.)SO you can say that I got the 8500GT out of safty and all. Even still I was scared mY pSU counldnt handle the 8500GT. So will I have to upgrade my PSU for an 8600GT?8600GT and PSU question.

an 8500 to an 8600 doesnt really warrant the upgrade. not a big enough leap
an 8500 to an 8600 doesnt really warrant the upgrade. not a big enough leap
Read Xbitlabs GeForce 8-series review, the 8600GT is at least twice as powerful as a 8500GT.

I picked up a EGVA 8600 GTS and the minimum watt for the card is 400. My HP only had a 250w, so I went out yesterday and bought a Cooler Master eXtreme 500w PSU and everything is good to go!
