For a few dollars more, I would recommend going with the P35 from Gigabyte. Also, Creative's sound cards are known to have compatibility issues with Vista, so I would hold off on that until the issue is resolved. Other than that, great rig, glad to see you making the jump to Vista, enjoy DX10.

P35 is usually the mobo to go with so i would change that. As for creative sound blaster i struggled with it on my laptop since its much harder to install (dell shipped them seperately O-o) but as for compatability i didnt have any problems just make sure you install and download all the new drives for it
