hey i hav just built my 1st ever computer and everything is running smooth. can i just get some comments on how this will handle new and upcoming games at 1680x1050 thankx. CPU - Intel C2D E6320 Ram -2gb DDR2 667 GPU - 8800GTS 320mb (Overclocked 570/1800) also is there anything i would have to upgrade soon?? I know i should have waited to get a better processor as my motherboard wont allow me to overclock :(My 1st Rig I have Built Please Rate
Its hard to give you numbers without benchmarking your system, but, I think it will run upcoming games at a good frame rate. My suggestion, if your motherboard supports DDR2 800 upgrade to it.If you want a number use 3dmark and compare yourself to others. My 1st Rig I have Built Please Rate
Would the score still be acurrate compared to the 3Dmark06?
No, you would compare to other 3dmark scores from the same model. Like if you used 3dmark 05, you would compare with 05 scores. The older the version, the lower the spec requirements and the higher the score.
Would the score still be acurrate compared to the 3Dmark06?
No, just run 3Dmark06. It'll run on nearly anything. And don't worry about getting DDR2 800; 667 is fine 'till your next upgrade.

Don't get DDR2 800, it isn't worth it. Stick with 667 until you upgrade to either DDR3 or DDR2 1066btw lol, like 6 posts in 3 mins.

Though I do get your other point, I should have been clearer, If your motherboard supports it upgrade to its fastest speed (assuming that you are concerned mostly about performance and not cost.)

hey thanks for all the replies. The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-VM900M it has no overclocking features in the bios what so ever :(

F..k 3dmark, that is a nice rig, I'll give you 8,5/10
