A laptop question.

Okay i am getting a laptop from my brother and it looks good, not super gaming good but good enough for school and maybe some games.so i was looking at hardware and i saw in the connection possibilities (like usb,VGA out and microphone) that it said 1xExpress card/54, does that mean i can put in a PCI-express card or is it some other card with express in it's name that i don't know of?A laptop question.
I'm fairly sure its referring to the slot on the side of the laptop where you can shove a wireless network card or something like that into.A laptop question.
No, that card is the replacement for the PCMCIA (PC Card) slot. It uses the PCI-Express Bus, but is for peripheral cards only, like TV tuners and wireless phone cards. Some external graphics card solutions are planning to use this interface but it is not as powerful as standard PCI-E X16 graphic cards for desktops.
