CPU: E6550, E6320, Athlon 64 X2 6000+GPU: what's the best 8600GT out there and is there a big difference between the GT and GTS?is this a good card? MSIGeForce 8600GT (OC edition)Open to any suggestions with similar budgetwhich of these CPU and GPU should I choose?
Are you on a budget? I recommend AT LEAST 8800 GTS 320MB and any C2D.which of these CPU and GPU should I choose?
Price/performance the 8600GT is better than the GTS,its a good card if you're on a tight budget. But out of those CPU's,get the E6550.
The 6000+ X2 is better, but you could get away with a 5600+ X2. Also, the 8600GT is fine and the GTS is better, but it's a $50 difference. The 8600GTS has a bad price/performance ratio.

[/QUOTE] Yes a budget would be a huge help.
The E6550 are dead even on performance, while the 8600GT (MSI edition) is great for a budget.Depends how much you're willing to spend on the mainboard, or whether or not you like Intel or AMD. :/
my budget for the whole system is about 800$ without a monitor buty with a vista OS
what about the ATi cards are they any good?

I'd go with the x2 6000+ its peforms slightly better than the E6550 and its cheaper. The 8600GT is decent card on a budget, the GTS version for me is just a overclocked 8600GT. The price for 8600GTS also is closer to a 8800GTS which i would rather go with over the 8600GTS. So if i had to choose between the the 8600GT or GTS i would go with a 8600GT.
which of these mobo should I choose if I want to buy an E6550?(need a future proof mobo)http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128059http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131189http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813127031http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813121314I just need a good, stable motherboard, easy to install (first build)and I am not planning to overclock(first build)thanks in advance

You can buy any 45nm Wolfdale or Yorkfield processor %26 they are working with that motherboard
get the system which WESKER suggested. its the best u can get becoz it includes a high end card. there is not much difference in processor speeds. 3800+ will do u fine as long as u have a 2900xt. it may give u 10 - 15 frames less compared to 6000 +. , but this diff is wayyyy toooo much when comparing 2900xt and 8600 gt .
if u want another motherboard get GIGABYTE P35. they r more future proof + overclocks like helll. extremely stable motherboard. by the ur name is KHALID ?? where u from saudia , pakistan ?????? just curious ,.

When poeple ask these questions, they realy need to mention if they are going to OC or not. If you are going to OC, you could spend less than $100 on an AMD and OC close to the 6000+ to free up money for a better vga. If you want performance you could get the intel and OC it to a much higher performance, but you will have less money to spend on a vga.If you are not OC, I would go with the 6000+. As for the graphics card, I would go with the 8600GT or the HD2600XT.
You're not going to OC a low-end AMD to perform like a 6000+ X2. Maybe like a 5600+ X2, but not the 6000+ X2.
