If the hard-drive was dying, trust me you'd hear it pretty loud and clear.Does it freeze completely or BSOD?HELP! Computer Freezing Even after Re Format!!
well if you did a reformat and its still freezing up it sounds like a hardware problem, check for dust and make sure your temps are ok. kinda sounds like a harddrive problem is it clicking or making more noise than usual? because if you try to download something and it freezes thats usually the problem sounds like you might need a new hdd.
Well the harddrive dosent click or anything its as quite it has ben sience i bought it 4 years ago. It dosent BSOD (blue screen of death) it just straight up and freezes. requiring a restart
This is clearly a sign of bad memory.i had the same problem that the pc would randomly freeze so i f you have two sticks of ram one of them or both is defective just test with memtest download and burn on a bootable cd here: http://www.memtest.org/#downiso the latest version is 1.70 good luck :) .
It could be from PSU, not powerful enough??
same thing happend to me once, my mobo got f**ked up and needed to be replaced.you may wanna check it...
