Needs to be PCI-Express and yes ANY single slot card will work unless its more then 5 feet long! lol Theres a bunch of X1950 PRO GT GS 8600GTS/8600GT/7950 I really just want to know what the best video card for me would be? Oh and the rez I only play at is 1024x768 with 2AA and 4AF on!:)
8800GTS would be the best for you, unless you have extra cash and want 8800GTX.
thats a 2 slot card !
8600GT,its the cheapest out of those and perfect for 1024x768,in fact i bet the 8600GT will get max settings with 2xAA/4xAF @ 1024x768.
Sorry, my bad, it's 5 o'clock at night here and I've been working through the night, is that good enough excuse?

So the 8600gt is better then the 8600gts?
So the 8600gt is better then the 8600gts?
Better in Price/performance yes,but if you haven the money,go for it.
If you are happy to stay with direct X 9 then get either a top-class 7900GS or GT or otherwise a decent 8600gts.The 7900GS is excellent value as well as being single slot.
So the 8600gt is better then the 8600gts?
no, dont listen to aaron. getthe 8600 gts. hes taking this 8600 thing a little too far...

Did you guys completely forget about the X1950PRO? It's a better option than either the 8600GT or GTS.

I hope you aren't expecting to actually play Crysis in DX10 mode. It's not going to happen. Get the X1950PRO; it'll perform better.
