games keep exiting with errors!

my games all seem to stop working about a half hour into play and exit with error messages. ive tried reinstalling games drivers, undoing my oc, u name it ive done it. i cant seem to figure out why these games keep getting runtime errors. im not sure if its just vista being glitchy. some of the games are LOTR BFME andHL2 from steam. any thoughts plz
