i just added some new ram to my pc and before anything shows up it says:memory write/read failure at 7FF90000, read F906F916 expecting F916F916memory address line failure at 7FF90000, read F916F916 expecting 06060606what does this mean? do i have the wrong kind of ram, or is the ram bad??installed ram and now error message?
anyone have a clue?installed ram and now error message?
Might be faulty ram might have to send back and try to see if you attached it right in the case or reattach it. Also is the mobo compatabile with the ram?
My experience is that the wrong kind of ram simply won't get recognized. So I would say it's bad ram. You can try playing around with different positions in your ram slots or, if that doesn't do anything, run memtest if you want to be sure it's bad.
i think its my stupid dell mobo!
i think its my stupid dell mobo!
could be that too :) Did you get it from Dell? I always hear you need dell parts to work with dell pc's..
i got corsair value select ram. the orignal ram is dell. so it could be that i need real delll ram
what if i take the dell ram out and just install the corsair ram? then i can see ifits bad or just doesnt like the mobo
okay i just install the corsair ram only. and the pc works just fine. i think they are just not cmpatable with each other.
whoever said to switch the slots were right. it works now. thanks
