As far as I know HDMI is going to be the future (correct me if im wrong). May I please have some suggestions on a new LCD monitor within a $200 budget? (can stretch a bit)looking for good gaming LCD with HDMI.

Unless you WANT to use the speakers that your moniter comes with, I'd suggest going with DVI
If you want a good LCD monitor, and if you're going to be using HDMI, you need to get a $500 that can do 1900 x 1200 resolution, which is basically 1080p for computers. I highly suggest you get one, like a 26'' or bigger if you want to have the best gaming experience. Just make sure your GFX card can support it, if it's an 8800 GTS 640 MB or a 768 MB 8800 GTX, then you should be fine.
HDMI is not the future, and in fact, its probably going to be killed off very soon by rivaling technologies, one of them being displayport.

The extra $ is worth it, get a bigger monitor and you could use it for other purposes like 360/PS3 or Cable.
