I just need a reliable and stable rig and I am not planning to overclock(this is to be my first rig)thanks in advancePlan A or Plan B?
Plan A hands down.Plan A or Plan B?
Processor: intelE6550http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115030Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128050Graphics card: MSI NX8600GTS-T2D256E-OC http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127284Get this combination of the 6.
are they any big difference between the two?
Plan B except get a X1950XT for only a few bucks more,unless you're gonna go Dx 10.
Well its the better processer, with the better graphics card...I don't know much about the Motherboard, but it seems pretty good. If your smart, and want even better performance, you'll overclock that intel to about 3.0GHz.I guess if you really dont want to overclock then B would be best.
Plan B will yield better performance in games. The processor is marginally worse, but not enough to tell, especially in games, and the graphics card is substantially better.
Processor: intelE6550http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115030Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128050Graphics card: MSI NX8600GTS-T2D256E-OC http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127284Get this combination of the 6.
I would have done that but I can't afford itwhat kind of memory should I get a ddr2 800 or 667?
just gimme your budget...I'll see if I can find some good parts for a good rig you can make.

Wesker has made you nice rig yesterday, whit cheaper X2 3800+ i think, and cheap mobo, but whit 2900XT. Go for that. It should give you better performance in games than whit more powerfull dual core, and 2 times slower GPU.
Plan A .
