Sound problem during Media playing

I recently finished building my PC and installed the chipset drivers for my mobo. I'm using onboard sound and I can hear the computer, all the little beeps and even the computer narrating stuff (I'm using Vista Ultimate 64bit) but whenever I play a video or a DVD there's no sound. Anyone know what's wrong? My mobo is the P35C-DSR3 from Gigabyte.Sound problem during Media playing
