Cm'on it's just a mousepad. I'm sure a wet cloth would be fine.

Sorry for being a noob it's just that when I first thought I read the wet cloth, it seemed like gettinga mousepad wet might effect the surface to be using an optical/ lazer mouse on it. But thanks for the tips.

It won't alter anything. Just clean it with a wet cloth and let it dry if you are uncertain, but it won't affect the performance of your mouse's accuracy or functionality in any way. :)
