8600 Vs. 8800

I need to upgrade, and yeah, it's obvious that the GeForce 8800 320MBhas better performance than the 8600, Buttakingprice into consideration, which one is the better deal?Is that 64MB of extra memory really worth the $130 more that the 8800 costs?Which would you recommend I get?Flame me, and I will put a curse on your family.8600 Vs. 8800
It's not just higher RAM but also higher clocks that the 8800GTS making itself better then the 8600GT... So yes the extra $130 woould be worth it. (In my opinion :P)8600 Vs. 8800
Its as simple as this statement, ''you get what you pay for.'' the 8800gts is better hands down but the 8600gt can still max out oblivion at 1280x1024. Id get the 8600 if your poor like me, but if your rich go get the 8800. Its only a matter of $$$
Yeah, I'm pretty poor. It'd take me until October or Novemberto save up enough for the 8800, I'm just wondering how big the difference between the 8800 and the 8600 are performance wise. I'm not that experienced with video cards, so I'm never quite sure howmuch more performance alittleextra clockspeed, or alittle more RAM, can actually get.
Any card under the 8800gts is not for serious gamers according to the reviews that I have read.
The difference is pretty huge.Don't get me wrong I actually think the 8600 cards are pretty good but the 8800 320mb is a MUCH better card. Even though its only 64mb extra memory the 8800 card has 3 times more shading power than the 8600 and a greater memory bandwidth. Heres a link to some benchmark results : http://www.guru3d.com/article/Videocards/442/8/Thats even an overclocked version of the 8600 and it comes nowhere near the 8800.
the 8800gts will not let you down, It's worth every penny.
Thanks everyone. I think I'll wait the extra month or two to get the 8,800 320MB.
