Crysis, meet AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+.

I'm considering getting this CPU. How will it handle Crysis? The rest of my rig will include Corsair 2GB DDR2 667 Dual Channel RAM, EVGA GeForce 8600GTS 256mb, and my 22'' Samsung 225BW. Thankz0r. :)Crysis, meet AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+.
At 1680x1050 you should manage fairly well at medium settings.Crysis, meet AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+.
It will be fine.
If you're not fine, that game is screwed from a sales perspective.

Yea. Im not gonna get it any way but if a dual core and a 8600 cant run it thats pretty bad. The 5200+ is probly the best choice because its the cheapest AMD with the 1mb L2 cache and can easily hit 2.8-3.0ghz

Tip for future Crysis players:A Crysis employee stated an 8800GTX cant max out the game on DX10 @ 1600*1200So judging by that an 8600gt would hit 1280*1024 at medium/High with no AA.Heres the guide that was put up by an admin from the Crysis site (these are estimates)http://www.crysis-online.com/forum/index.php/topic,4487.0.html
