Go to Micro$oft's web site. M$ likes to flash every little feature that will justify spending more money.
That is a simple listing of the differences (img from http://www.pcdoctor-guide.com)
Munky I don't see anything on that site :( Can someone just give me a little list of the Major differences?
Premium is pretty good.

Premium is good %26 Ultimate is overpriced
Yeah I see the pic now kthx
My wife wants a new lappy and I want to go with a Vostro with XP, but of course they dont come in pink (even though the d#$mn thing is silver when you open it anyway) and the inspirion notebooks do. She also wants Vista for some odd reason. All she will do is read email, play bejewelled, and organize and download her photos. Does the Premium Media Center have that many features that Basic does not in regards to this? I think she also wants to make dvds with the kids pictures on it (and have music in the background). Does either version of Vista have some kind of software with it that allows this? SOrry for so many questions!
Premium is good %26 Ultimate is overpriced
I heard Ultimate is the only OS that truly supports quad core proccesors. True?
Not true.
Difference between Home Basic and Home PremiumBasic: uses Aero Express(no transparency, the useless FLIP3D and live thumbnail), no Media CenterHome Premium: uses Aero Glass(have transparency that works 5% of the time), and have Media Center.thats about it for the differences.
Premium is good %26 Ultimate is overpriced
Unless you're a power user...and Vista home anything is total ****.
