which one (cpu/ram) is bottlenecking my vidoe card!?

I recently upgraded from a 9600xt to a x1950pro, and the changes were not as big as i expected(i didnt expect THAT big of a change), so im assuming either my processor (amd athlon 64 3400+ 2.4ghz) or my ram (1gb 333mhz ddr) could be bottlenecking the potential of my new video card

Im kinda thinkin the ram being more of the issue here, but i was wondering what u guys thought bout this
which one (cpu/ram) is bottlenecking my vidoe card!?
The CPU which one (cpu/ram) is bottlenecking my vidoe card!?
How did you measure the change? How big was the change, exactly? How do you know there IS a bottleneck? My wild donkey guess is the CPU.
No no, it's not the CPU. If anything, it's the RAM. PC2700 is just slow stuff. The on-chip memory controller of the Athlon 64 was designed to run best with PC3200.

[/QUOTE]ya, thats what i was thinkin, even tho my cpu is only single core, the athlon 3400+ 2.4ghz is one of the top single core cpu's out there....i think

Its really about time for a complete ram upgrade tho, the ram is a quite bit older than the cpu
