q6600 8800 gtx 4 gig of ram vista 64 bit 1000 watt psu(for future upgrades to sli) 1200 by 1900 24inch monitorwould it be ok to buy that now? then later on when the new cards come out get a new card?would it be a good time to build this rig?
Yes imo, I just built my new PC a few days ago and it was well worth it. Especially with Bioshock around the corner. You will love that Quad btw....it is so fast. would it be a good time to build this rig?
so when the new line of nvidia cards do come out i can just put the 8800 gtx on ebay right?
Yep, I'm buying a 8800GTS 320 soon, then buying the 9800s when they come out. I plan to ebay it also but you will not sell it for the same price you bought it at. So many people are gonna be selling their 8800s imo.
well i know that. but u dont think it would be dumb right now to build do you? especialy a rig that expensive?

But thats just my opinion.
Go for it... I just built the rig in my sig.
Well you can always wait, there's always the next gen just around the corner, but considering intel price drop that made Q6600 really worth the price and the fact that there are lots of good games coming this year, I'd say now is a good time to get a nice rig.PS. Just got my Q6600/8800GTS 2 weeks ago, so far I've had only one problem, no stutter in any game whatsoever.

Your other option is to get the GTX now as it should be ok till next time this year at-least with your planned resolution.
